Into the Snake's Head

Description

Hungry for nectar, a bumblebee approaches the flower of a Snake's Head Fritillary. These flowers have the Latin name Fritillaria meleagris - meaning 'spotted like a guineafowl' - and these bees are their primary pollinator. Both are in decline.
