Blue Braids

Across the bottom of the Langtang valley, the braided river is evidence of the huge amount of debris and sediment that is produced by the surrounding mountains - still young and fast-eroding. Shattering winter cold, earthquakes, and monsoon rains all contribute to a valley that is always on the move.
