Among the Red Hats

In the courtyard of the ancient Hemis monastery, followers of the Drukpa lineage gather for a week-long festival. This 'red-hat' or 'dragon' school of Tibetan Buddhism has existed for nearly a thousand years, and is particularly strong in Ladakh.
